You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts or chicken tenderloins in this recipe. You could even cut the chicken into bite size chunks if you prefer.
Soy sauce can be really salty, even the low sodium, so be careful with the amount of salt you use to season the chicken.
Go ahead and add the extra garlic, you know you want that extra flavor.
Use balsamic vinegar instead of apple cider vinegar.
Double the sauce, you are going to want to drizzle the sweet honey garlic sauce over the top of the chicken.
You can replace the butter with olive or vegetable oil.
If you don’t have honey, you can use maple syrup instead. Or use a mix of honey and maple syrup. You could even add a little brown sugar.
Cook the chicken until the internal temperature is 165 degrees.

Season both sides of your chicken with salt and black pepper then dredge each piece through the flour. Once all the chicken is coated, Melt butter in saute pan on medium heat. Cook chicken until both sides are golden brown.

Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken breast tenderloins
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup flour
- 4 Tbsp butter, divided
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2/3 cup honey
Instructions
- Salt and pepper both sides of chicken, then dredge in flour.
- Melt 3 Tbsp of butter in saute pan on medium heat.
- Add chicken and brown both sides, about 5 to 6 minutes per side.
- When chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, push to the sides of the pan and add the remaining Tablespoon of butter.
- Add garlic to melted butter in pan and cook for 1 minute.
- Add apple cider vinegar, soy sauce and honey and cook until warmed through.
- Spoon over chicken and enjoy!
